The building is located in the central part of Yekaterinburg and is one of the altitudinal focus points in this area. An active architectural concept of the façade is supposed to be perceived while moving along the bridge of Moskovskaya street and along Furmanova street.
The main task of the project was designing an individual and memorable architectural façade solution, considering the fact that the building's structural volume had already been put up by the client.
The planning concept is laconic and functional, complying with maximum efficiency of space use. The first two floors along Furmanova street are designed with a cantilever recess, putting the focus on the building's main entrance.
Architectural expressiveness of a simple cubic volume is created by an active colour scheme, dividing the whole volume into dark and light planes. The grouping of the window apertures creates horizontal alignment of the light planes, while the dark planes merge with window apertures into a solid unity. Vertical panels composed of red fins serve as an additional accent. The building's illumination in the evening intensifies this image and creates a visual association with FM radio band scale.
